HOW TO BECOME AN AMAZON ASSOCIATE
Step 1: Create a Website, Blog, or Youtube Channel
To become an Amazon Associate, you must have some sort of medium of influence such as a website, blog, or social media influence. If you don’t have a website already, you can create one using platforms like WordPress or Wix. You can also create a website for absolutely free. Your website should have high-quality content that is relevant to your niche or target audience. You don’t have to have a crazy amount of followers or site visitors to join, anywhere from 500 followers upwards will suffice.
Step 2: Apply to the Amazon Associates Program
Once you have a website or blog set up, you can apply to the Amazon Associates program. To apply, go to the Amazon Associates website and click on the “Join Now for Free” button. Alternatively, you can create a regular amazon account and then scroll down to the bottom of the Amazon page and click on “Become An Affiliate”. You’ll need to provide information about your social media, website, or blog, including its URL, niche, and traffic.
Step 3: Set Up Your Account
After your application is approved, you’ll need to set up your account. This involves providing your payment and tax information if you live in a country like Nigeria or you are a registered business or sole proprietor, details like that may slightly change the setup process but overall it is straightforward. You also need to choose your preferred payment method. Amazon offers several payment options, including direct deposit, Amazon gift card, and check.
