Socials
Having your account blocked on any platform you find useful even a little bit can be heartbreaking, but when it happens over and over… and over again, now that’s torture.
This might be the situation you find yourself in with Payoneer. Thankfully Payoneer is more open and a lot less complex compared to their close rivals and elephant in the room when it comes to the fintech industry “PAYPAL”.
On PayPal, you can get kicked out for just looking at the logo funny (Lol), but seriously, it feels like PayPal has a plethora of reasons to ostracize users, it’s not the same with Payoneer. This article will hopefully give you some guidance on why Payoneer might be incessantly blocking your accounts and what you can do to reunite with the payment platform.
UNDERSTANDING WHY PAYONEER BLOCKS OR RESTRICTS ACCOUNTS
There are broadly two types of account restrictions on pretty much any platform financial, social or otherwise
THE TEMPORARY BAN: Some platforms might refer to it as shadow ban or warning, but this is a situation where you violate a not so serious term of service and you get a subtle nudge to “watch it”, if it were football, this would be the yellow card.
PERMANENT RESTRICTION: This is for breaching the TOS one too many times or even committing one crime that is considered too heinous for just warnings or temporary bans and you get outrightly kicked out, either by your already existing account magically puffed away or a every new account not even seeing the light of day.
Although Payoneer states:
“we can’t share the specific reason why we blocked your account, due to how we are regulated”
I personally think as earlier established, that Payoneer does not play the mystery games, at least not like others, their rules are simple and these are the possible reasons why your Payoneer account might be blocked or restricted
1. Your account might be restricted or blocked by Payoneer if your try to login with the wrong credentials too many times. This is an offence punishable by the temporary ban, therefore it’s easier to fix by trying again after sometime, or even initiating a password change by using the “forgot password” feature.
2. If Payoneer account is a duplicate of another one that you registered earlier. In most cases, their system allows every customer to have one active account at every point in time, based of your ID number/email of registration or other personal information.
3. You might be blocked if your account security was breached. Here’s an article you can read if you believe this is the case for you.
4. Finally, of your account activity does not comply with Payoneer’s Terms and Conditions, you might get permanently deleted.
You can read this section of Terms and Conditions for more information.

So, offences number 2 to 4 are most likely the reasons why you can’t sign up on Payoneer, the question becomes …
HOW DO YOU SIGNED ON PAYONEER WITHOUT GETTING BLOCKED IMMEDIATELY
Regardless of what the cause of the blacklisting might be, it can be a little tricky to undo it, mostly because being locked out can mean you don’t have access to the regular channels of Payoneer support.
The way around this that has worked for me in the past is to use their social media as support channels (The seem to be more active on twitter, so you can send them a DM on twitter here)
I know this seems like a long shot, and probably not the big reveal you were expecting but nine times out of ten it works, plus there is nothing to lose.
Don’t fall prey to scammers online claiming they can help you lift the curse for a fee, there is no such thing, they do not have access to Payoneer’s systems, the truth is only Payoneer can help you
Another approach that might help is to USE COMPLETELY NEW AND DIFFERENT CREDENTIALS, AND EVEN POSSIBLY DEVICE TO SIGN UP.
This has worked for me one time and I’ve heard many say they were able to successfully create a new account after using a new email, means of identification and device, even Payoneer hints at it on their FAQ ANSWER to the question of why they block accounts (read in-between the lines)
So you can give it a shot.
Lastly, everything submits to time, one time I was banned from Facebook, couldn’t create a new account, I forgot about it, few months later I tried again and I was back in. I can’t explain this one really coz I understand it’s the least favourite fix to the problem, but truth is it might come down to it, where all efforts to get back unto Payoneer proves abortive, in such case you have to find an alternative that works for you, your business and your clients, thankful we live in a world of abundant alternatives.
I hope that some of the insights I’ve shared in this article can help you fix your Payoneer problem.
